Unlock 90% Iridium Reduction for Maximum Efficiency, Durability, and Profit
Your teams face the challenge of developing PEM electrolyzers and fuel cells that are high-performing, cost-effective, and reliable. Achieving this balance is critical, especially with the rising costs and scarcity of materials like iridium and platinum. SparkNano’s innovative Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (S-ALD) technology offers a solution for exactly these two materials. By depositing minimal iridium and/or platinum on the Porous Transport Layer (PTL), we benefit from the internal surface area, cutting material costs while enhancing the durability of your systems through precise chemical bonding. Our technology also simplifies recycling, supporting a more sustainable lifecycle. This webinar will show how SparkNano’s Spatial ALD can accelerate your PEM development, enabling faster proof-of-concept, scalable production, and delivering solutions that meet 2030 performance targets—now.
Hosted by Alexander Bouman, Technical Business Developer, and Koen Driessen, Chief Commercial Officer this webinar will explore innovative solutions to produce green hydrogen using PEM electrolyzers with ultra-low iridium loadings, developed by SparkNano. We will present the use of SparkNano’s spatial atomic layer deposition (S-ALD) technology to reduce iridium loadings to 0.2 mg/cm², which is 40 times lower than conventional methods, while enhancing the catalyst’s stability, electrochemical performance, and providing a scalable, cost-effective solution for industrial-scale hydrogen production.
